Review: Little Girls Can Be Mean

Worried about mean girls? Help your daughter respond and react to bullying where it starts—-in elementary school

As experts in developmental psychology and each a mother of three, Dr. Michelle Anthony and Dr. Reyna Lindert began noticing an alarming pattern of social struggle among girls as young as five, including their own daughters. In today’s world, it is likely that your daughter has been faced with bullying and friendship issues, too—-and perhaps you’re at a loss for how to guide her through these situations effectively. Little Girls Can Be Mean is the first book to tackle the unique social struggles of elementary-aged girls, giving you the tools you need to help your daughter become stronger, happier, and better able to enjoy her friendships at school and beyond.

Dr. Anthony and Dr. Lindert offer an easy-to-follow, 4-step plan to help you become a problem-solving partner with your child, including tips and insights that girls can use on their own to confront social difficulties in an empowered way. Whether your daughter is just starting grade school or is already on her way to junior high, you’ll learn how to:

OBSERVE the social situation with new eyes CONNECT with your child in a new way GUIDE your child with simple, compassionate strategies SUPPORT your daughter to act more independently to face the social issue

By focusing squarely on the issues and needs of girls in the years before adolescence, Little Girls Can Be Mean is the essential, go-to guide for any parent or educator of girls in grades K-6.

You hear stories on the news about bully suicide and if you haven't it's where the child is bullied constantly and the child takes there own life because they can't handle it. I's terrible. I was bullied when I was younger and it was awful. It's one of the worst feelings in the world. One thing that really bothers me is parents that are naive and think there child could never do wrong. So I think every parent should bully proof there child. Read this book for extra guidance so you do everything you can to make your child do right in life and not wrong.

Review & Giveaway: Happy Baby Food & Prenatal Yoga Dvd

My son just turned 3 years old and has eaten happy baby products for a year now. He still eats the HAPPY MELTS in all there flavors.
HAPPYMELTS are a truly delicious and nutritious treat made with the goodness of organic yogurt and fruit. This yummy snack offers protein, low-sugar, and the added boost of pre and probiotics for digestive wellness.

• For babies and toddlers
• GLUTEN FREE
• No Preservatives

• Melts in baby's mouth

A product we just tried a few weeks ago that we have to keep in stock in our pantry or my son flips is the HAPPY PUFFS. He'll eat them all but the Green Puffs. I have a hard time getting him to eat any green veggies though.
Made with whole grains, our HAPPYBABY PUFFS come in three organic flavors to give baby variety and build growing palettes. Supplemented with vitamins and minerals, our Puffs also come in green packaging that allowed us to reduce our imprint, offer 40% more in each container, and pass the savings on you!

• 1/2 the sugar as the leading brands (Gerber and Beech-Nut each contain 1g sugar) • good source of Iron, Vitamin D, Calcium, and B Vitamins  • made with whole grains

Were trying to have baby #2 sense they will be a good age apart and now that Damien is fully potty trained it's time. So I got the Happy Baby Prenatal Yoga dvd and tried it even though I'm not pregnant yet. I'm a big fan of yoga!

This multifaceted instructional DVD is for pregnant women and their partners to practice together in the comfort of their own homes at any stage of pregnancy. It is designed to build strength and flexibility, promote relaxation, prepare the body and mind for labor, and help partners grow together and connect during this special time as they prepare for parenthood. Any couple can benefit regardless of their experience with yoga, and doing so will strengthen their bond with baby. Also, there is a guided meditation and specific poses for common prenatal aches and pains like lower back pain, leg cramps and heartburn. Finally, since every mom deserves to be massaged and comforted, partners are also taught soothing massage techniques.

GIVEAWAY: 1 MamaKnows readers will win Happy Baby Coupons & Prenatal Yoga for Partners dvd.
